Creating and Composing Original Music

Whether your goal is to create house mixes, write music for Film, TV, Radio or Gaming; whether it’s to launch your career as a Professional Musician/Composer, or simply just have some fun, Music Technology Training will start you on your journey!

BBC Trained Trainers

Music Technology Training is delivered by a BBC trained | Broadcast Engineer | Studio Engineer | Production Manager | Composer | who spent many years at the famous Broadcasting House and Maida Vale Studios in London. The trainer has composed music for | TV | Radio | Commercials | Corporate Advertising | Ballet |Sporting events |


There is an opportunity to use any of the three types of software for recording, mixing and producing songs, voiceovers, grooves and more! Apple Logic is the industry standard for professional music production. Music Technology Training can also be delivered using Garage Band, particularly if you simply want to learn the basics and have some fun creating your own music.

For aspiring Producers we can teach you how to master the art of Protools


Music Technology training is delivered individually or in groups and will teach you the fundamentals of recording, mixing, programming, editing and producing your own original music.


Music Technology Training will teach you how to compose music by mixing and recording sounds with virtual or real instruments and vocals, using professional techniques including:

  • Delay effects
  • Compression
  • Equalisation
  • Reverb
  • Loops

Editing and Quantizing

Music Technology Training will show you how to manipulate your composition through cuts, edits, beat slicing, merges and loops. Working with MIDI you will learn how to use Logic's Matrix editor to quantize and humanize tracks to create new textures and unique realism.

Importing and Recording

Music Technology Training will teach you how to import music loops into your projects and how to adjust their tempos and key signatures. When you have completed your original piece of music, you will learn how to record an audio and MIDI using Apple Logic, Avid Protools or Garageband.
